Improving the operational quality of Phu My power plants.

Operation Workshop 1 - Phu My Thermal Power Plant Company has successfully built a DCS Network system model and put it into operation in phase 1.

The model focuses on training in hardware, operating the OPS software, logic, and configuring the DCS Netmation control system.

Previously, to guide new technical personnel on DCS systems and the operating control principles for power plant equipment, the company relied on purely theoretical documents that were difficult to visualize and offered few practical exercises. The outstanding advantage of the Netmation DCS Model System is its realistic operating environment, similar to the current control system of Phu My 1 Thermal Power Plant, without affecting the existing operating system. The model allows technicians and operators to study and practice simulating real-world control logic in a visual way, understand operating principles, practice troubleshooting, testing, replacing, and configuring all hardware such as MPS (CPU), I/O Modules, etc., conveniently and gain practical experience, leading to better understanding and grasp of the job.

Phu My Thermal Power Company has developed training programs, guidelines, and procedures, and implemented DCS Network, yielding practical benefits and enhancing the scientific research capabilities of its technical staff. This has helped improve the quality of technicians and operators in accessing new technologies, promoting the application of science and technology, and driving the company's digital transformation.

According to company representatives, building the DCS Network system model contributes to improving the effectiveness of training, monitoring, operation, and visualization for technical specialists, thereby enhancing the quality and operational skills of technicians and ensuring a high-quality workforce in the C&I field, gradually mastering new technologies. To further improve the quality and functionality of this system, the company plans to develop and add advanced programs and features, expand and install additional field equipment and factory models to achieve optimal efficiency in the near future.
