Improving the spiritual life of ethnic minority women

Along with taking care of building a strong organization, the Women's Union at all levels in the province always cares about and encourages its members and women in ethnic minority areas to actively participate in cultural and artistic movements, physical training and sports , to improve health and improve spiritual life.

Women boldly express themselves in cultural and artistic movements

In ethnic costumes, the rhythmic dance steps, and confident performance on stage of the Dong Tien commune folk dance team, really won the sympathy and applause of many members and contestants present at the folk dance competition organized by the Women's Union of Ham Thuan Bac district. As predicted by the outside audience, surpassing 16 competing teams, the commune's folk dance team won the highest prize.

Ms. K'Thi Hom - President of the Women's Union of Dong Tien commune said: Previously, the performances performed by members only included solo singing, group singing, and dancing. Since 2022, after the campaigns of the higher-level Union, women have been introduced to folk dance, with cheerful songs adapted to the rhythms of waltz, cha cha cha, tango... thanks to which the activities and ceremonies are less boring and more complete. Folk dance has been spreading, creating a new breeze, encouraging members and women to confidently participate in cultural and artistic activities in the commune, in order to preserve and promote the unique values of folk songs, folk dances, and ethnic minority music.

Women contribute to preserving traditional sports

Thanks to the attention of the Party, the State, and local authorities through social policies and economic development loan projects, the lives of ethnic minorities have been increasingly improved, and women have gained more knowledge, helping them become more confident and bold. Not only in Dong Tien, but also in Dong Giang and La Da communes (Ham Thuan Bac), women have worked hard to take care of their happy families and have been active in cultural, artistic, and sports movements to enrich their lives.

In My Thanh commune (Ham Thuan Nam), in addition to women's groups helping each other with economic activities, "5 no, 3 clean", "Raising good children", in early 2023, the Women's Union of the commune established a women's volleyball club and maintained daily practice. Or in the communes where ethnic minorities live in Bac Binh, women's groups have been established according to their interests, preserving traditional cultural features through Dong La playing groups, rice pounding sound groups...

That is also a way to actively contribute to the process of building cultural life from the grassroots, realizing the national goal of building new rural areas.

According to the assessment of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union, the models, clubs, and playgrounds for members and ethnic minority women have breathed new life into the awareness of women. Also from the activities, members have the opportunity to meet, share experiences, improve their knowledge and skills in building happy families and raising children; to exchange and promote their strengths; to practice and improve their physical health. Those healthy playgrounds have created new vitality for the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life" in each locality and brought the Party's guidelines and policies, State policies and laws, emulation movements, and campaigns launched by the Union to members quickly and most closely. And when the spiritual life is rich, the cultural environment is good and healthy, it will contribute significantly to the task of political stability, strongly impacting the comprehensive socio-economic development of the province in the new period.
