At the seminar "Development and application of atomic energy to serve the country's rapid and sustainable development in the new era" recently held in Da Lat, the issue of green transformation was enthusiastically discussed by delegates who are experts, scientists , managers in the nuclear field and representatives of localities.

The workshop took place at a time when the National Assembly had just restarted the policy of developing nuclear power in Ninh Thuan , while the Central Propaganda and Education Commission was presiding over the development of a strategic propaganda project for this field.

Mr. Huynh Thanh Dat - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission - spoke .

The Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission said that many countries in the world have initiated or expanded nuclear power programs. For Vietnam, developing nuclear power is not only to supplement energy supplies but also a strategic step to enhance scientific and technological potential and develop high-quality human resources.

"Vietnam identifies nuclear power as not only the solution to the energy security problem but also a lever for developing science and technology, training high-quality human resources and integrating more deeply into the global value chain," Mr. Dat emphasized.

Speaking at the conference, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Nhi Dien - former Director of the Institute of Nuclear Research said that the applications of nuclear technology in Da Lat have brought about clear results in many fields such as medicine, agriculture, industry, and environmental protection. In particular, nuclear power is an indispensable piece in the green energy transition.

Delegates from Khanh Hoa province gave speeches.

At the workshop, delegates focused on discussing issues of public concern such as nuclear technology and safety, radiation applications in life, the role of media in changing social awareness, and media solutions to respond to concerns about nuclear incidents.

In particular, the message of "3 safe" - safety - security - social security, is strongly conveyed, demonstrating the determination of the Party and State in developing nuclear energy in a sustainable direction, serving the interests of the nation and the people.
