Quail eggs smell so bad that they almost entered the kitchen.
According to a video recorded by parents at Cu Khe Primary School, many bags of peeled quail eggs brought to the school to prepare lunch for students were smelly and watery.
Not accepting poor quality food, parents reacted strongly and resolutely demanded that the food supplier change to another type and reported the incident to the school and management agency.
On the afternoon of October 15, the Department of Culture and Society of Binh Minh commune had a working session with parents, the school and the kitchen food supplier, Nhat Anh Trading and Service Company Limited.

At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nam, Principal of Cu Khe Primary School, said that at about 5:45 this morning, the school received a request to monitor food in the school kitchen from parents of class 2A.
At the time of inspection, parents of class 2A directly inspected the food provided at the kitchen of Cu Khe Primary School.
The supplier brought the peeled quail eggs and meat to the kitchen. The school food monitoring team noticed that the quail eggs and a small amount of meat had an odor, so they requested that the quail eggs be replaced with chicken eggs and other types of meat to prepare meals for the students.
In addition, Ms. Le Thi Thanh Thao, a medical staff member of the school, also commented that the food transport vehicle of the supplier was not refrigerated.
Mr. Pham Dinh Tuan, a parent of class 2A, said that parents who went to supervise according to schedule and time of supervision not only discovered that eggs and meat had an odor but also that the water used to wash food in the kitchen had a strange smell. The meat grinders had not been cleaned before, posing a risk of food safety.
Transport does not meet regulations
It is known that at the meeting with the school and parents this afternoon, Mr. Phan Duc Long - Director of Nhat Anh Trading and Service Company Limited admitted that the food including eggs and meat delivered to Cu Khe Primary School was not put in vacuum bags or in insulated boxes as prescribed.
Mr. Long also said that this was an unfortunate and unwanted incident for the company. And the incident happened at a time when parents and the school were supervising, the company's kitchen staff had not yet carried out the process of receiving food into the kitchen.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Dao, Head of the Culture and Social Affairs Department of Binh Minh Commune, has requested Nhat Anh Trading and Service Company Limited to find another food supplier to ensure food safety and replace kitchen utensils to ensure hygiene. During the post-inspection process, if this company does not fully implement the above conclusions, it will be notified to stop providing meals for boarding students in the commune.
However, some parents of Cu Khe Primary School said that it is unacceptable for food suppliers to deliver substandard goods to schools.
If parents do not check and discover that the above-mentioned smelly food has been “smuggled” into the kitchen, parents request that the management agency must have a plan to strictly handle violations to ensure food safety for students.
