Enhancing coordination between the banking industry and the press

On the afternoon of November 20, the State Bank of Vietnam, Branch 15, and An Giang Newspaper, Radio and Television held a signing ceremony of coordination regulations to enhance information exchange and improve communication effectiveness on monetary policy and banking activities in the area.

According to the coordination regulations, the two sides agreed to focus on communicating priority credit policies, policies to support small and medium enterprises, agricultural and rural credit, the OCOP program, digital banking transformation and key tasks of the industry.

The two sides also coordinate to organize press conferences, conferences, seminars, and talks to provide in-depth information on banking activities, with the support of credit institutions in social security programs and community communication. An Giang Provincial Newspaper and Radio - Television will participate in reporting, building special pages and columns reflecting the effectiveness of banking activities.

In case of feedback from citizens, businesses, and press agencies, they will be received and forwarded to the State Bank of Region 15 for verification and response. When there is fake news or negative public opinion, the State Bank of Region 15 will take the lead in providing official information and timely guidance.

According to Tran Van Phuoc, Acting Director of the State Bank of Vietnam, Branch Region 15, this regulation aims at three major goals, including: Proactive coordination with official and stable sources of information; quick and effective coordination in handling information crises; in-depth coordination through seminars and training to improve the capacity of reporters and editors.
