"In the Sea of Japan, missile ships of the Pacific Fleet fired Moskit supersonic anti-ship missiles at a simulated enemy target," the Russian Defense Ministry said on Telegram.
According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, the target was confirmed to be located at a distance of 100 km, and two Moskit supersonic anti-ship missiles hit the target.

Russia's hypersonic missile launch comes a week after two Russian strategic bombers - capable of carrying nuclear weapons - flew over the Sea of Japan for more than seven hours. Moscow called the flight "planned".
The P-270 Moskit missile, NATO reporting name SS-N-22 Sunburn, is a medium-range supersonic cruise missile of Soviet origin, capable of destroying a ship at a range of up to 120 km.
The P-270 Moskit missile weighs 4.5 tons, is 9.74m long, and has a body diameter of 0.8m. With this size, the P-270 Moskit is one of the largest anti-ship missiles today.
The P-270 Moskit anti-ship cruise missile was developed by the MKB Raduga design bureau in the 1970s for the mission of destroying surface warships, transport ships in main attack groups, amphibious forces and military convoys, hydrofoils and hovercraft.
