The European Union (EU) is considering a proposal to establish a branch of the Russian Agricultural Bank to reconnect the country to the global financial system, according to the Financial Times .
With the Bank under sanctions, the move is aimed at protecting the grain deal from being renewed.
The EU proposal would allow a branch of the Russian Agricultural Bank to process payments related to grain exports.
On the Ukrainian side, Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that the country would not make any concessions to Russia to extend the grain deal. Mr. Kuleba stressed that Ukraine was not obliged to make any compromises to extend the deal.
According to him, Moscow - not Kiev - should comply with its obligations.
