Military ships and railway infrastructure continue to be targets
On the night of October 1, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched an offensive against the rear areas of Ukraine. Explosions were heard across the country, including in the Poltava, Cherkassy, Kirovograd, and Mykolaiv regions. Concentrations of Ukrainian reserve forces were also attacked in the border regions of Sumy and Kharkiv.
One of Russia’s precision strikes destroyed a train serving Ukrainian military operations. This is the third Russian attack on Ukrainian military trains and railway infrastructure in recent days.

Previously, on September 31, Russian Tornado-S rocket artillery attacked the Udachnaya railway station located in the southwestern suburb of Pokrovsk in the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic.
The attack caused a large fire in the area. Local reports said the target was a fuel transfer station from a train. Public videos confirmed the destruction of the fuel train.
The attack destroyed at least four fuel trucks. Railway infrastructure in the area was also severely damaged. In particular, the local power substation that supplies electricity to rail traffic and surrounding settlements was also damaged.
The attacks on the railway station have severely damaged Ukrainian military logistics across the entire front. The city of Pokrovsk is an important logistics center in eastern Ukraine, and Russian troops have advanced on the city, attacking Ukrainian reserves and military equipment stored there.
In the south of Ugledar, Russian troops have taken control of the strategically important city of Ugledar. The fuel being transported is intended to supply the 72nd Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which is hastily strengthening new defense lines northwest of Ugledar.
Iskander missile attacks, destroys the Command Post of Brigade 37
On October 1, information about the Russian military attacking and destroying the Command Post of the 37th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was also made public. According to AVP, the attack was carried out using the Iskander missile system.

The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation carried out a precision strike with the Iskander missile system on a building in the village of Velyka Oleksandrivka in the Kherson region, where a meeting of the command of the 37th Marine Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine was taking place.
The operation was carried out with high-precision weapons, which allowed to destroy not only the headquarters, but also the accompanying equipment. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, among the destroyed equipment were three minibuses and 12 cars belonging to the Ukrainian army. These vehicles, according to preliminary information, were used for the rapid transportation of officers and equipment.
