In response to Decision No. 1079/QD-TTg dated September 14, 2022, of the Prime Minister approving the Project on Human Rights Communication in Vietnam, and in anticipation of major national holidays in 2025, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in collaboration with the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and Vietnam Television, is organizing the annual Human Rights Communication Award titled "Happy Vietnam 2025".

Speaking at the launch ceremony of the "Happy Vietnam 2025" Award, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Le Hai Binh affirmed that happiness is not only a personal emotion, but also a source of pride and gratitude towards the country, the nation, and the shared values of humanity.

According to the Deputy Minister, many Vietnamese people are living in happiness but haven't truly realized it. "My friends used to say that Vietnamese people are happy because they live in peace , independence, and freedom. That's something not every nation has. The feeling that remains after all is pride, gratitude, and a deep appreciation for what we have," the Deputy Minister shared.

Looking back on the 50-year journey of national reunification, the Vietnamese people have experienced countless memorable and proud moments. Looking ahead to the 80th anniversary of the nation's founding, the Deputy Minister stated: "Happiness should be transformed into gratitude, one of the most humane and profound emotions of humankind."

According to the Deputy Minister, Vietnam is among the fastest-growing countries in the world. This is proof of the efforts to realize President Ho Chi Minh's aspiration: to bring the Vietnamese nation to stand shoulder to shoulder with the world's leading powers. However, today's happiness is not the end.

Regarding the "Happy Vietnam 2025" Award, Deputy Minister Le Hai Binh stated that the important thing lies not only in the award ceremony, but also in the entire process of spreading pride, gratitude, and moments of discovering the value of happiness in life.

"Ordinary, everyday images are the most authentic and profound expressions of happiness. Vietnam has made significant progress in the happiness index, but the numbers cannot fully reflect that spirit."

Through the award, we spread a journey that evokes pride, gratitude and simple moments of happiness that exist all around us," said the Deputy Minister.

According to the Organizing Committee, the "Happy Vietnam 2025" Award is designed as a deeply social artistic platform to encourage all segments of the population in Vietnam, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends to participate in sharing stories, images, and videos about a beautiful, compassionate, and developing Vietnam.

The submitted works will contribute to spreading the image of Vietnam and its people as dynamic, creative, preserving traditions, and constantly integrating into the global community.

The award also reflects Vietnam's positive progress on the global happiness map. According to international reports, Vietnam will rank 46th in the World Happiness Index in 2025, an increase of 8 places compared to 2024 and 19 places compared to 2023.

This is vivid evidence of the effectiveness of sound policies, policies that prioritize the people and aim for a "prosperous people, a strong nation, democracy, fairness, and civilization."
