As the northeast monsoon brings a chilly atmosphere, Hanoi begins its most anticipated festival season of the year. Christmas 2025 is fast approaching, and the city's major churches have been beautifully decorated, becoming popular destinations for locals and tourists to visit and take photos.
Cathedral: The earliest completed check-in point.
Located on Nha Tho Street, Hanoi Cathedral is one of the first buildings to complete its Christmas decorations. Prominently displayed in front is a large, elaborately decorated nativity scene with vibrant colors, alongside a Christmas tree towering dozens of meters high.

More than just an ancient architectural landmark, this place is also a favorite destination for both domestic and international tourists. Daniel, a tourist from Malaysia, shared while happily taking photos with his friends: "I feel the joyful atmosphere of Hanoi before Christmas, from the shops to the entertainment venues. I'm truly impressed."

Ham Long Church: Radiant during the completion process.
At Ham Long Church, decoration work is also progressing rapidly. On the afternoon of December 9th, workers were still busy installing the lighting system in front of the gate.
Mr. Vinh, who is in charge of checking the lighting system, said that the decoration work started a month ago and is expected to be completed in the next few days. Although not 100% complete, the church has already started lighting up every evening, creating a dazzling atmosphere that attracts many people to admire it.

Cua Bac Church: An ancient charm awaiting its day of glory.
Located in Ba Dinh ward, Cua Bac church is also in the final stages of decoration. The nativity scene has been completed and only the lighting system needs to be finalized before it is officially illuminated.
For many years, Cua Bac Church has been one of the most anticipated destinations for Hanoi residents every Christmas, thanks to its ancient architectural beauty blended with a warm and cozy decorated atmosphere.

Notes when visiting
- Ideal time: Evening is the best time to admire the churches illuminated at night.
- Getting around: These areas are often very crowded, so you should consider parking further away and walking.
- Dress code: Please dress respectfully and appropriately for the solemn atmosphere of the church.
