
Indian tourists visit Phu Quoc.
On December 10th, an Air India flight carrying approximately 160 Indian passengers landed at Phu Quoc International Airport, marking the beginning of a month-long program bringing around 1,400 Indian tourists to the island, a collaborative effort between Vietravel Tourism Joint Stock Company, the Indian online travel platform MakeMyTrip, and Air India.
In addition, there will be 8 direct round-trip flights connecting New Delhi (India) with Phu Quoc, with each Air India flight expected to serve approximately 160 passengers, operating for one month. The flight schedule is designed to optimize vacation time, with planes departing New Delhi in the early evening the day before and landing in Phu Quoc at 2:00 AM the following day. Phu Quoc, with its large resort ecosystem and diverse culture, is becoming a suitable destination for this segment of tourists.
According to the An Giang Department of Tourism , in 2025, the province aims to welcome over 24 million tourists, including more than 1.9 million international visitors; total tourism revenue is expected to reach nearly 68,000 billion VND. Of this, the Phu Quoc Special Economic Zone is estimated to receive over 8.1 million visitors, including nearly 1.9 million international visitors; total tourism revenue is expected to reach approximately 44,000 billion VND.
