A new destination for cloud-hunting enthusiasts.
Located in Ba Be commune, about 10km from the center of Cho Ra commune, Don Den peak, with an altitude of over 1,000m, is emerging as an unmissable destination for those who love the pristine beauty of the mountains and forests. It attracts tourists, especially young people, who come to experience the moment of watching the sunrise and admiring the floating sea of clouds in the cool highland air.

The journey to conquer the sunrise.
To capture these memorable moments, many braved the cold, starting their journey at dawn. Departing from Cho Ra commune, tourists will travel along winding mountain passes; the higher they go, the colder the air becomes and the fog blankets the path, creating a unique sense of adventure.
From around 4 to 6 a.m., along provincial road 257B, groups of young people gathered, patiently waiting in thick warm coats, holding cups of hot coffee, to watch the sun slowly rise.

Nguyet Anh from Thai Nguyen shared: "Today we didn't get to see many clouds, which is a bit disappointing, but the weather was chilly, so wearing warm clothes and scarves was just like winter, and we still had a lot of fun. This place is trending online, so we definitely have to visit."
A moment of dazzling sea of clouds.
As the first rays of sunlight appear, the vast sea of white clouds below the valley begins to transform, tinged with vibrant pink and then orange by the dawn light. The sight of the majestic mountain ranges of Ba Be hidden in the clouds creates a magnificent and poetic natural landscape, making all the waiting worthwhile.

Practical information and useful experiences
Despite its great potential, tourism services at Don Den are still quite rudimentary. Roadside rest stops are mostly spontaneously cleaned up by local people who serve simple drinks.
Cloud hunting experience
According to Mr. Hua Duc Ly, a local resident, the key to a successful cloud-hunting trip is observing the weather: "If it was sunny the day before, it will be cloudy the next day. Tourists should arrive between 4 and 6 in the morning; in autumn, the clouds take longer to dissipate."

Besides cloud hunting, Don Den is also home to the Mong, Dao, and Tay ethnic groups, each with their own unique cultural characteristics. Visitors can combine their trip with a visit to the nearby Phja Khao bamboo forest, a popular check-in spot for young people.

With its natural beauty and the hospitality of its people, Don Den promises to become a prominent destination on the tourism map, especially for those seeking new experiences and a close connection with nature.
