In the direction of Lugansk, battles are taking place in the Serebryansky forest near the village of Dibrova. According to military sources, both sides are engaged in intense artillery and mortar fire.
Meanwhile, to the north, the Russians were advancing and capturing new strategically important positions near the village of Kislovka. This area was of particular interest to both sides because the important N-26 supply route ran behind Kislovka. This road was of key importance for the movement of troops and convoys.
However, despite the Russian military advance, many high-altitude positions in front of the N-26 highway remain under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This high-altitude position allows Ukraine to control the road and attack Russian positions.
According to military experts, the battle for control of these high positions could become one of the key battles in the Lugansk direction. The outcome of this battle will determine who controls the N-26 road, and thus who will have the strategic advantage in the region.
In the area of Novoprokopovka suburbs, the Ukrainian Armed Forces are also stepping up their offensive. After heavy shelling, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have advanced and reached the northern outskirts of Novoprokopovka. Detachments are also moving from the northeast, trying to break through the defenses through the perimeters. This information was provided by journalists of the WarGonzo project.
However, not all Ukrainian attacks have been successful. Attempts to attack the Verbovoy region of Ukraine have not yet been successful.
In response to the Ukrainian offensive, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation also stepped up their actions, attacking the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the settlements of Rabotino, Novodanilovka and Malaya Tokmachka.
Previously, on September 25, AVP reported that the Russian military carried out attacks with high-precision weapons on locations of foreign mercenaries and training grounds of sabotage groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed that on the night of September 25, a group attack was carried out on the locations of foreign mercenaries as well as training sites for sabotage groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. It is known that the objectives of the attack were successfully achieved.
The move was in response to the increased activity of mercenaries and sabotage groups, which had been noted by Russian intelligence. The positions of these groups were targeted after the Russian military received information about planned attacks.
As part of the operation, high-precision missile systems were used, which minimized possible collateral damage and avoided civilian casualties. The Russian Defense Ministry stressed that the operation was carried out solely to prevent acts of sabotage and threats to Russia's national security.
