The GPHG 2024 exhibition offers watch lovers in the region a rare opportunity to admire the masterpieces of the watch industry during the year.

Inspired by typical cultural symbols, the exhibition space is cleverly integrated with images of conical hats and famous rivers, both honoring the 90 nominated watch masterpieces and cleverly highlighting Vietnam's rich heritage.

Visitors can view all the nominees selected for the 15 watch categories. Each category showcases the most outstanding works, providing viewers with a comprehensive view of the diversity and creativity in the watch industry.

Each exhibition area is meticulously arranged, creating the best conditions for providing knowledge as well as honoring the craftsmanship behind each luxury watch.

Regarding the reason for choosing Vietnam, Mr. Raymond Loretan, Chairman of GPHG, said: “Everyone asks me why Vietnam, and why now. We came to Vietnam because we believe in the future of this country, not only for luxury goods, but also as a potential center for innovation and creativity in the watchmaking industry.”

Mr. Raymond Loretan expressed his hope that this event will spark interest in the skills and professions related to watchmaking, and that one day soon there will be a watch made by a Vietnamese person competing at the GPHG.

“This not only represents commercial success but also the development of Vietnamese talents in this timeless craft,” the GPHG chairman shared.

The exhibition is open to the public from October 9 to 10, before the GPHG award ceremony takes place on November 13 in Switzerland.

Where luxury, prestigious and excellent watches gather

The Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) was founded in 2001 as a non-profit organization that celebrates the most outstanding contemporary creations from the world of watchmaking and promotes its art, tradition and innovation worldwide.

Through its annual competition held in November, GPHG evaluates hundreds of new watch models and awards prestigious prizes.

The awards ceremony brings together the elite representatives of the watch industry, gathered to honor the best creations and makers.
