On the afternoon of November 10th, a delegation of officials from Hong Dan commune, led by Comrade Ha Tan Linh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of the commune, visited and congratulated the women's Ngo boat team of Ngan Dua Pagoda for winning third place at the Ngo boat race within the framework of the Ok Om Bok Festival - Can Tho City Ngo Boat Race 2025.

At the meeting, Comrade Ha Tan Linh acknowledged and praised the determined, united, and resilient spirit of the athletes. He affirmed that the achievements of the Ngan Dua Pagoda women's Ngo boat team not only brought pride to the locality but also a shared honor for Ca Mau province at the traditional sports competition in the Mekong Delta region. The commune leaders hoped that the Ngan Dua Pagoda Management Board and the athletes would continue to maintain their performance, actively train, and promote the spirit of unity to achieve more new successes; thereby contributing to preserving and spreading the unique cultural values of the Khmer people.
The Ngan Dua women's boat team is one of three women's boat teams from Ca Mau province that won top prizes at the 2025 Can Tho City Boat Race.
On this occasion, the Secretary of the Party Committee of Hong Dan commune presented certificates of commendation from the People's Committee of the commune and cash prizes to the women's Ngo boat team of Ngan Dua pagoda; and also provided the pagoda's Management Board with 5 million VND to support the maintenance of its activities.
Leaders of Hong Dan commune visited and commended the athletes for their dedication, solidarity, and efforts to overcome difficulties.
Previously, within the framework of the Ok Om Bok Festival - Can Tho Ngo Boat Race 2025, the Ngo boat race held on the Maspéro River (Can Tho City) attracted 61 men's and women's Ngo boat teams, including 13 teams from Ca Mau province. In the women's category, the Ca Mau team excellently won 3 prizes: Second, Third, and Fourth. Specifically, the Kos Thum 2 team won Second place; the Ngan Dua team won Third place; and the Kos Thum 1 team won Fourth place. The Organizing Committee also awarded a prize of 100 million VND to the Ngan Dua Pagoda women's Ngo boat team.
