Banks actively respond to timely payment of National Day gifts, warning against fraud

Prepare carefully, ensure timely payment

Implementing the Government 's Official Dispatch No. 149/CD-TTg dated August 28, 2025, the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development ( Agribank) immediately activated a special plan. The bank arranged staff to be on duty 24/7 throughout the system, including on holidays, to promptly process payment requests from the State Treasury.

At the same time, Agribank closely coordinates with the State Treasury in localities, ready to provide cash after hours and on holidays. This is a necessary solution to serve people in remote areas, where it is not convenient to receive support via electronic channels.

The payment system is also monitored and tested for load capacity, ensuring safety and smooth operation during peak times.

In addition to the 100,000 VND from the Government, MSB also gives an additional 80,000 VND or converts it into 80,000 M-Points for customers who successfully link up.

Techcombank deploys a quick VNeID connection feature on phones, using biometric technology for authentication. In addition to VND100,000 from the Government, Techcombank gives an additional VND100,000 to customers who open new and link VNeID, dedicating up to VND10 billion to this program.

VNPT Money said that people can register for an e-wallet to receive gifts. Just compose a message DK and send it to 9191 from a VinaPhone SIM to activate Mobile Money for free. Support money is transferred directly to the wallet, people can withdraw or pay bills, top up their phones right on the application.

In addition to 100,000 VND from the Government, Techcombank gives an additional 100,000 VND to customers who open new accounts and link to VNeID, dedicating up to 10 billion VND to this program.

Fraud prevention warning

Immediately after the Government's policy on timely gift payment to people on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2, Agribank proactively deployed information to guide customers on the steps to link social security accounts on VNeID to Agribank accounts on Agribank's official communication channels. At the same time, timely warnings and recommendations were provided to customers to avoid fraudulent tricks to appropriate assets.

In addition, Agribank has also taken measures to protect and provide maximum support to help customers avoid and minimize property damage. Specifically, the customer support center system is available 24/7 (including holidays) to answer and support customers in emergency situations.

Coordinate with the police and authorities to provide maximum support to customers to protect their assets when discovering that customers' personal information has been leaked and can be easily exploited by bad guys.

In addition, since July 21, Agribank has provided and deployed the AgriNotify service - detecting and warning suspicious and fraudulent accounts on the Agribank Plus platform. Accordingly, customers who have transactions to suspicious accounts will be immediately warned by the system, thereby minimizing transactions when customers are scammed by fraudsters.

Recently, to implement the Government's policy, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Public Security have also provided instructions on two forms of receiving gifts.

First, through VNeID, money is transferred directly to the integrated social security account.

Second, people receive cash locally: The People's Committee of the commune or ward organizes convenient payment points for people (through the household head registered with the locality).

Time to receive gifts, from August 30 to September 2, 2025, no later than September 15, 2025. When receiving, citizens must present their citizen identification card or valid documents; in case of receiving on behalf of others, a power of attorney is required.

By 5:00 p.m. on September 1, 2025, the State Treasury confirmed that 100% of communes and wards nationwide had withdrawn funds to pay for Independence Day gifts for people. This is proof of the synchronous coordination of agencies, units and the banking system, contributing to spreading joy on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day September 2.
