Director of the Department of Culture and Sports Nguyen Khanh Hiep said that in the first 9 months of 2025, the whole sector focused on implementing synchronous and drastic solutions, effectively implementing the tasks in the annual work program of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Provincial People's Committee. The Department focused on implementing propaganda, agitation and organizing well activities to serve political tasks, national anniversaries, important events of the country, the province, traditional festivals of the locality; propagating party congresses at all levels, towards the 14th National Congress of the Party... widely to all classes of people, localities in the province, well meeting the people's increasing need to enjoy spiritual life.

Cultural and sports institutions from the provincial to grassroots levels have been gradually invested in and built. Attention has been paid to the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage values. Propaganda, agitation, exhibition, mobile information, library, culture, art, and mass sports activities in the province have basically met the needs of spiritual culture enjoyment and physical training of the people, especially in remote, border, and ethnic minority areas.

The movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life has changed positively. The Steering Committee for family work and the movement of the whole people uniting to build a cultural life at all levels regularly propagate the implementation of a civilized lifestyle in weddings and funerals; and build and implement community conventions.

In addition, the cultural sector has done well in family work, propaganda, moral education and prevention of domestic violence to contribute to raising awareness and sense of responsibility of society and each family member in building a prosperous, progressive and happy family.

Mr. Nguyen Khanh Hiep said: “The provincial Department of Culture and Sports actively coordinates with functional departments and local authorities to build facilities and cultural and sports institutions at the grassroots level. At the same time, regularly organizes training and fostering for officials working in the field of culture and sports at all levels, contributing to the management, exploitation and promotion of facilities, and the organization of quality and effective cultural and sports activities.”

The work of orienting the communication of the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State, the directives and management documents of the Central and the province to press agencies and the grassroots information system has always been fully and promptly deployed, contributing to raising awareness and creating consensus among the people. The work of managing information on electronic newspapers and social networks has been strengthened, contributing to maintaining information orientation and fighting against false and negative information.

According to Mr. Nguyen Khanh Hiep, in the remaining months of 2025, the provincial culture and sports sector will focus on directing and effectively implementing the annual work program and state management documents, projects, plans, programs, and industry development plans. At the same time, it will focus on state management, inspection, and supervision of propaganda work to serve political tasks in the province; strengthen the organization of cultural, family, sports and tourism activities for ethnic minorities in the province; create products and events to attract tourism, well serving the needs of enjoying spiritual culture and physical training of the people. At the same time, complete the construction of cultural and sports institutions for communes in remote, isolated, and border areas from the capital source of the national target program in 2025.

The province focuses on investing in preserving and embellishing historical and cultural relics; promoting the conservation and promotion of cultural heritage values, tangible and intangible cultural forms in the province; consolidating, improving and maintaining cultural titles; developing diverse forms of organizing sports training and competitions at the grassroots level to mobilize and attract a large number of people to participate. At the same time, reviewing, building forces, and carefully preparing for the An Giang sports delegation to participate and strive for a high ranking at the 10th National Sports Festival in 2026.
