Hai Phong Health Sector deploys smart medical kiosk solution at medical examination and treatment facilities

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of September 27, the Hai Phong Department of Health coordinated with HD Bank - Hai Phong Branch to organize a conference to introduce the smart medical kiosk solution at medical examination and treatment facilities in the city.

Speaking at the Conference, Dr. Phan Huy Thuc, Deputy Director of the Department of Health, acknowledged and highly appreciated HD Bank's attention and cooperation for the Hai Phong Health sector. The deployment of Kiosk not only brings many benefits to patients and medical facilities but also contributes to the effective implementation of digital transformation in the health sector, promoting cashless payments at medical units according to the Project on Developing applications of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period of 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030.

The Deputy Director of the Department of Health requested that medical units need to do a good job of communication so that each medical staff understands the policies and plans on digital transformation of the industry and the city, the significance of Project 06 as well as Smart Kiosk; medical units and HD Bank need to coordinate closely and actively to quickly implement. In 2024, 90% of city-level hospitals will deploy and put into use Smart Medical Kiosks.

At the conference, delegates listened to the introduction of the Smart Medical Kiosk solution presented by a representative of HD Bank. The kiosk has features such as: Registering for medical examination and treatment through chip-based citizen identification card authentication, applying VNeID electronic identification account, integrating electronic health books; creating bank accounts, providing credit products to customers according to regulations; paying for medical examination and treatment costs without using cash.

In July 2024, HD Bank officially deployed the Smart Medical Kiosk, committing to sponsor 1,001 KIOSKs for free to public health facilities nationwide and support all operating costs of the solution during the 5-year cooperation period. Specifically, at each district-level health facility, install at least 01 Kiosk, and at the provincial/city level, 02 Kiosks.

Also at the Conference, the delegates focused on discussing, exchanging opinions, and presenting the advantages, difficulties and obstacles encountered when deploying Smart Medical Kiosks at medical examination and treatment facilities such as: applicable policies as well as implementation roadmap, project implementation plan of HDBank; management and operation costs before and after the end of 5 years of free support from HDBank; connection costs with software currently used at medical units; biometric identification for emergency cases; patient bank registration accounts; patient information data security mode when linking software at the Hospital; integration between bank accounts when patients use Kiosks; connecting hospital information management software (HIS) with Smart Medical Kiosks.
