October 12th, the 1st Government Party Congress took place.

Regarding the main contents and preparations for the Congress, Minister and Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son said that the Congress will take place over two days (October 12-13) at the National Convention Center. The Congress was attended by 453 delegates (including 60 ex-officio delegates, 157 officially appointed delegates and 236 elected delegates), representing over 209,000 party members from 2,211 grassroots party organizations in the entire Government Party Committee.

The Congress's theme is: "Building a clean and strong Government Party; solidarity, exemplary leadership in science, technology, innovation, digital transformation; accelerating breakthroughs, developing the country quickly and sustainably in the era of rising up, becoming rich, strong, civilized, prosperous, and happy". The motto of the Congress is: "Solidarity, discipline - Democracy, innovation - Breakthrough development - Close to the people".

The documents submitted to the congress were drafted seriously, systematically, scientifically, democratically, and in accordance with regulations; opinions were widely sought from the entire Government Party Committee; appraisal opinions were sought from agencies, committees, and Party agencies at the Central level, and Party committees under the Central level; and the Politburo's direction was fully and deeply absorbed at the meeting to give opinions on the draft documents, personnel plans, and preparations for the 1st Government Party Congress were fully and deeply received.

Regarding the personnel of the Delegation attending the 14th National Congress of the Party, in addition to the delegates who are members of the 13th Party Central Committee currently working and participating in Party activities at the Government Party Committee as ex-officio delegates, the Government Party Committee was assigned by the Politburo 70 official delegates and 12 alternate delegates to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party and will announce the Decision at the Congress.

The 1st Congress of the Government Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030, affirmed its determination to effectively organize and implement the tasks of socio-economic development, national defense, security, and foreign affairs; to build a clean and strong Party Committee, successfully implement the country's development goals by 2030 when our Party celebrates its 100th anniversary (1930 - 2030); towards realizing the vision by 2045, celebrating the 100th anniversary of the country's founding (1945 - 2045) as determined by the 14th National Party Congress.

During the 2020 - 2025 term, the Government Party Committee has closely followed the Party's guidelines and policies, strictly implemented the leadership and direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, and regularly and directly led by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and General Secretary To Lam in synchronously and effectively implementing 3 strategic breakthroughs, 6 key tasks, 12 main groups of solutions and achieved many very valuable and proud achievements in the context of difficult and challenging situations beyond forecasts, including effectively preventing, combating and controlling the Covid-19 pandemic, recovering and developing the socio-economy. The Government Party Committee has been united, courageous, led and directed with determination to strive to achieve the highest level of socio-economic development goals and tasks for the 2021 - 2025 period, expected to achieve and exceed 22/26 main targets; especially completing all social targets.

In particular, in the 2 years (2024 - 2025), many historic decisions of the Party and State have been resolutely and effectively implemented. The "revolution" in the arrangement and consolidation of the organizational apparatus continues to be vigorously implemented, with strong leadership and direction of innovation in awareness and methods, with many breakthroughs; reviewing and eliminating overlaps, irrationalities, and inconsistencies in the legal system; promoting reform, cutting administrative procedures, strengthening decentralization and delegation of power; resolving and removing difficulties and obstacles for long-standing backlog projects; accelerating the construction of a synchronous and modern infrastructure system, especially highways, high-speed railways, urban railways, promoting the early construction of nuclear power plants; developing the private economy, science and technology, innovation and digital transformation; completing the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses 5 years ahead of schedule; strengthening the trust of people and businesses; enhance Vietnam's position and prestige in the international arena...
