On May 14, 1,050 new Covid-19 cases were recorded domestically.

According to the Ministry of Health 's announcement on the Covid-19 epidemic, today the country recorded 1,050 new Covid-19 cases. Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has had 11.59 million cases, ranking 13th out of 231 countries and territories. With a rate of 117,132 infections per million people, Vietnam ranks 120th out of 231 countries and territories.

Today, May 24, the country recorded 1,050 more Covid-19 cases

Health departments reported that on May 13, 285 patients were declared cured, with no deaths recorded. Since the beginning of the epidemic, more than 10.632 million Covid-19 cases in Vietnam have been cured.

At treatment facilities, 52 patients are on oxygen. Of these, 43 cases are on oxygen through masks; 6 cases are on high-flow nasal cannula; 3 cases are on invasive mechanical ventilation.

The total number of deaths due to Covid-19 in Vietnam since the beginning of the epidemic is 43,201, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections. The total number of deaths ranks 26th out of 231 countries and territories; the number of deaths per million people ranks 141st out of 231 countries and territories.

Compared to Asia, Vietnam's total number of deaths ranks 7th out of 50; deaths per 1 million people ranks 29th out of 50 countries and territories.

Regarding the progress of Covid-19 vaccination, the Ministry of Health said that on May 13, 496 more doses were administered. Since the beginning of the vaccination campaign, more than 266.323 million doses have been administered to people nationwide. Of which, nearly 22.68 million doses were administered to people aged 18 and over; nearly 24 million doses were administered to people aged 12-17; and more than 18.678 million doses were administered to people aged 5-11.
