That is the information shared by the leaders of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province at the online conference on power supply during this year's hot season, which took place on the afternoon of June 5, with the participation of more than 300 businesses in Bac Giang province.

According to Chairman of Bac Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Anh Duong, in recent times, the province has continuously experienced power supply interruptions, causing disruption to people's lives and affecting business production, and this situation does not occur every year.

This year's power supply disruptions are due to many objective factors, beyond the calculation capacity of the electricity industry. While the power supply is lacking, the increase in load of people and businesses during hot days is very high, some days it increases by 30-40%.

Mr. Le Anh Duong also said that through working with the Ministry of Industry and Trade , Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), and Northern Power Corporation on electricity supply, Bac Giang is a priority area for electricity supply because it is the industrial production center of the country.

But according to forecasts, electricity supply will still be difficult for at least the next few weeks. Through this conference, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province called on people and businesses to save electricity and use electricity effectively and reasonably.

In addition, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province will apply a solution to supply electricity in the next 20 days according to the plan, during the day prioritizing electricity supply for production, and at night prioritizing electricity supply for people's daily activities and electricity for people's daily life.

During this time, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province requires businesses to start production from 7:45 to 17:00 every day. During that time, businesses will be supplied with electricity continuously throughout the day. For businesses with urgent orders, they will register with the management board of industrial parks and the electricity industry to be given priority for electricity supply and only produce from 0:00 to 5:00.

Many streets in Bac Giang City (Bac Giang Province) have turned off lights in the morning and evening to save electricity.

For enterprises outside industrial zones and clusters that share the same residential power lines, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province will assign electricity units to conduct specific surveys and resolve issues for each enterprise according to their appropriate capabilities.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province suggested that during the implementation of the above electricity supply plan, businesses need to rearrange their working hours to ensure optimal and efficient use of electricity during the time provided.

In addition, the People's Committee of Bac Giang province has directed localities to proactively develop and implement urgent plans to increase electricity saving. Specifically, in Bac Giang city, from the evening of June 2, all decorative electrical systems, public lighting, traffic, and electronic billboards in the area were turned off.
