Youth festival with the country

(BDO) On the morning of April 30, the Liaison Committee of Former Resistance War Veterans of Lai Thieu District (now Thuan An City) coordinated with the Thuan An City Youth Union to organize the program "Youth Festival with the Country" and a traditional meeting of cadres, soldiers and families of the revolutionary base.

  Thuan An City Youth Union presented a youth project worth 20 million VND to the Liaison Committee of Former Resistance War Veterans of Lai Thieu District.

At the festival, delegates together reviewed the important historical moment on April 30, 1975 to look back at the years of seething enthusiasm and heroic fighting spirit of the nation.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Luat, Deputy Secretary of Thuan An City Youth Union, said: Thuan An youth have effectively carried out the movements of "Repaying gratitude", "When drinking water, remember its source", visiting and giving gifts to former youth volunteers, people with revolutionary contributions, wounded soldiers, people infected with Agent Orange, etc. Through these activities, they contribute to propagating and mobilizing young people to continue the good traditions of the nation, nurturing patriotism and national spirit of previous generations.

On this occasion, Thuan An City Party Committee presented flower baskets and gifts, representatives of 10 communes and wards in the area also presented gifts to the Lai Thieu District Veterans Liaison Committee; Thuan An City Youth Union presented a youth project worth 20 million VND to the Lai Thieu District Veterans Liaison Committee...
