The 2023 Sea Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival with the theme 'Tam Ky - Summer Rendezvous' promises to bring visitors interesting experiences with many unique cultural and sports activities and events.

From June 16-25, the 2023 Sea Culture, Sports and Tourism Festival with the theme “Tam Ky - Summer Rendezvous” will take place in Tam Ky City, Quang Nam. The event promises to be an opportunity for visitors from inside and outside Quang Nam province to come and enjoy the festival specialties of the ancient Ha Dong land.

According to Vice Chairman of Tam Ky City People's Committee Nguyen Hong Lai, the Cultural, Sports and Sea Tourism Festival is an annual event that has been held for many years. This year, the city, together with other sectors and localities, are actively preparing to bring visitors interesting experiences with many unique cultural and sporting activities and events.

In addition to the main activities such as the art program with the theme "Tam Ky Calls" which was invested in elaborately, the announcement of the Tam Thanh Community Art Village tourist destination, the performance of Bai Choi art, the display of landscape stones, the youth camp... this year, the festival will have many new and attractive activities on a national scale.

Taking place at Ha Thanh beach (Tam Thanh commune), the Miss Sea Entrepreneur 2023 contest was held for the first time with the aim of honoring the values and qualities of Vietnamese women.

Not only a beauty contest, this is also a healthy and useful playground for successful female entrepreneurs across the country, helping them have the opportunity to exchange, connect with business, participate in volunteer activities that are beneficial to the community; at the same time, to promote and introduce the natural landscape of Tam Thanh beach.

With sports activities, the festival has many remarkable events, promising to be an attractive and interesting playground for many people. The largest and most special scale is probably the "Tam Ky Discovery Marathon 2023" running race, taking place for the first time on June 24-25.

Participants are professional athletes at home and abroad; people who regularly participate in physical exercise and sports; running clubs and groups; children, students; local people and foreigners living in Vietnam.

The tournament brings together 3,000 athletes to compete in distances of 2km, 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km. Next to it is the 2023 National Beach Tennis Championship - an event organized by the Vietnam Tennis Federation for the second time, attracting 16 teams from across the country.

In addition, during the days of “Tam Ky - Summer Rendezvous”, Tam Thanh commune was assigned to organize response activities to create a vibrant atmosphere for the festival. Many cultural and sports activities associated with the sea such as swimming and shaking round baskets on the sea, beach cross-country running, beach soccer, experience tours for tourists and Tam Thanh residents such as net weaving, net pulling, making paintings from seashells, etc.

Mr. Lai shared: “Compared to last year, this year the festival is much larger in scale and has been carefully prepared. Through that, we promote the participation of the community and the people of Tam Thanh, who are the ones who benefit from the festival.

This is the tourism development perspective that the city is aiming for, creating conditions to encourage people to participate in festival activities, thereby helping to develop sustainable tourism."
