On September 4th, a representative from the Nghe An Department of Tourism informed reporters from Lao Dong newspaper that during the four-day holiday (August 31st to September 3rd), the province welcomed and served 320,000 visitors, a 19% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
Of these, the number of overnight visitors reached 110,000 (a 22% increase compared to 2023); international visitors totaled 1,200. Total revenue from tourism services reached over 635 billion VND, a 27% increase.
Tourism activities taking place in Nghe An during this year's September 2nd holiday are safe.
During the National Day holiday, the number of visitors to Cua Lo town increased significantly compared to the same period last year. Over the four-day holiday, the town welcomed approximately 180,000 visitors, of which about 67,000 stayed overnight. This represents an average increase of 30% compared to the same period in 2023.
Reportedly, in the first eight months of 2024, Cua Lo is estimated to have received 4,650,000 visitors, an increase of 31% compared to the same period last year, reaching 120% of the annual plan.
Of these, the number of overnight visitors is estimated at 1,720,000, an increase of 39% compared to the same period last year, reaching 119% of the annual plan. International visitors numbered 6,000, an increase of 12% compared to the same period last year.
Tourism revenue is estimated at 4,800 billion VND, a 37% increase compared to the same period last year, reaching 114% of the annual plan.
This year, the inauguration of the Hanoi -Vinh expressway and the opening of the new Vin Wonders Cua Hoi entertainment complex have contributed to a surge in tourism in Cua Lo.
Besides Cua Lo, many other tourist destinations in Nghe An such as: Uncle Ho's birthplace (Nam Dan), Truong Bon historical site (Do Luong), Tea Island (Thanh Chuong)... also welcomed a sharp increase in visitors during the National Day holiday.
