* Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed Official Dispatch 1403/CD-TTg on strengthening management and improving the efficiency of credit growth management to serve economic growth.

Following the Prime Minister 's Official Dispatch No. 1224/CD-TTg dated November 26, 2023 on monetary policy management in the last months of 2023 and Notice No. 527/TB-VPCP dated December 18, 2023 announcing the Prime Minister's conclusion at the Conference on solutions to remove difficulties in credit for production and business, promote growth and stabilize the macro economy, to continue to strengthen state management and improve the effectiveness of monetary policy management.

* At the 11th session, term 2021 - 2026, held on December 21 and 22, 2023, the 22nd City People's Council issued a resolution to cancel the investment policy of 1 project; approve the investment policy of 5 new projects and adjust the policy of 33 projects.

* On the morning of December 23, the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Association of Nghe An province held a ceremony to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the National Day of the Republic of Cuba (January 1, 1959 - January 1, 2024) and summarize the Association's activities in 2023.

The Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Association of Nghe An province was established on August 1, 2003, and is a political and social organization, a member of the Union of Friendship Organizations of Nghe An province. Currently, the Vietnam - Cuba Friendship Association of Nghe An province has 5 branches with a total of 107 members, mainly cadres, experts, workers, and students who previously worked and studied in Cuba.

* On the afternoon of December 23, the Provincial People's Committee held the Closing Ceremony and awarded prizes for the 2023 Nghe An Province Online Book Promotion and Introduction Contest.

Within 1 month (from October 1 to 30, 2023), with the determination of the Department of Education and Training of districts, cities, towns and the principals of schools in the province, along with the active response of students, the Organizing Committee received 538 entries to the contest.

At the closing ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee Chairman and cash prizes to 2 groups winning First and Second prizes and 3 individuals winning First prizes; awarded certificates to 3 Second prizes, 6 Third prizes and 22 thematic prizes of the contest.

* In the fields of Quy Chau district these days, machinery and people are busy renovating and restoring land areas buried by the historic flood, preparing for the next spring rice crop.

Three months after the historic flood, in addition to the damage to people’s homes and property, hundreds of hectares of productive land were buried in a thick layer. Therefore, to restore production and stabilize life, the repair and treatment of damaged land and irrigation works is the top priority in this locality.

* In recent days, in Ky Son district, the weather has been very cold. Some highland communes such as Tay Son, Nam Can, Na Ngoi, Muong Long have had times when the temperature dropped below 5 degrees Celsius. To limit damage, many families had to cover their barns and light fires to protect their livestock from the cold.
