Cai luong artist Le Phuong passed away at the age of 36.

Speaking to Thanh Nien , director Hoang Chuong - lecturer of the Department of Traditional Drama, University of Theatre and Cinema, Ho Chi Minh City said that artist Le Phuong passed away on November 3rd while on her way to sing at a funeral in Long An , at the age of 36.

Director Hoang Chuong said that according to information from her family, Le Phuong had a traffic accident - hit by a truck and died on the spot. At the time of the accident, a man took her cell phone. When a show producer called Le Phuong to ask why she hadn't come to perform yet, the person who picked up the phone said that the owner of the phone had been in an accident. The number was then blocked.

The sudden passing of artist Le Phuong left many friends and colleagues in mourning.

According to director Hoang Chuong, artist Le Phuong is one of the best students in the college class, Cai Luong Actor course 17, Faculty of Traditional Theatre. "Le Phuong is very talented, gentle and polite. Due to difficult family circumstances, Le Phuong had to both study and work, life was very difficult. Because of the circumstances, when she was in her third year, when she was about to graduate, Le Phuong had to temporarily put her studies on hold. About a year later, with encouragement and guidance from my teachers and I, Le Phuong returned to take the graduation exam. Just in March this year, Le Phuong took the graduation exam for the role of Ly Than Phi in the Cai Luong play Bao Cong Vo Lo Gach , which was highly appreciated. I am sad and sorry that my student died young," the male director shared.

According to the obituary, artist Le Phuong's coffin was laid to rest in Giao Thanh commune, Thanh Phu district, Ben Tre province. The funeral took place on the morning of November 4, and the funeral was held on the morning of November 6. The coffin was then buried at his home in Ben Tre.
