Sharing about her artistic journey in the show Weekend Date , Kim Huyen said that when she was little, she loved reformed opera so she only wished to play the role of a maid. When she grew up, the female guest realized that she had no singing ability so she switched to her passion for drama. The female artist said that after graduating from grade 12, she only enrolled in theater school to motivate herself to strive for a career.

Kim Huyen admitted that when she was doing art , she was always self-conscious about her appearance. As for talent, she was confident that she was suitable for acting. Her physical limitations helped Kim Huyen become more determined and determined to pursue art to the end. "I want to affirm that regardless of height, I am passionate about my profession. I want to show everyone that beauty is not the deciding factor," the actress confided.

In 2015, when she was being noticed for her roles in The Ghost Wife, The Drinking Woman… Kim Huyen regretfully put her career on hold to study abroad in Japan. “Or at some point, I no longer felt the fire in my heart so I wanted to change to a new space. I also had a dream of going to Japan. Those reasons combined made me decide to go to a foreign country,” she shared.

After 8 years away from the stage, Kim Huyen returned with the role of Hue in the play Tra lai lia thia . One of the motivations for this comeback was a call from artist Ai Nhu . “The stage is still my flesh and blood, my soul. But when I return, I want to satisfy my desire and the expectations of the audience. I respect the audience so I need a role that I like. When Ai Nhu called me, she said: “I believe in you”. That is the belief of a good director. Nhu gave me such a beautiful opportunity, so I have to try hard to show her that I chose the right person”, Kim Huyen proudly mentioned the success of the play.
