Tieu Minh Phung was born in 1997, studied tourism and worked as a tour guide for a while before coming to art.

He grew up from the training center of artist Minh Nhi, working as an actor and MC. He participated in Laughter Across Vietnam 2023 , impressing with his ability to sing long traditional folk songs.

On the occasion of Tet 2024, he appeared in the movie Bright Lights (directed by Hoang Tuan Cuong).

He is currently active in the music industry thanks to his success in the Rap Viet contest. After the contest, Tieu Minh Phung was loved by many colleagues and audiences. Originally an actor, stepping into the rap field and being unexpectedly accepted made him happy.

The artist feels lucky to have received help from many people when he first started his career, including artist Le Giang. The female artist was the first person to see his potential and brought him to study at the drama stage of Meritorious Artist Minh Nhi.

Later, he participated in stage performances, as well as comedy plays with the couple Lam Vy Da - Hua Minh Dat...

After 10 years of working in Ho Chi Minh City, Tieu Minh Phung has worked many jobs such as distributing flyers, driving a motorbike taxi, serving at coffee shops, eateries, restaurants, MCing wedding parties, performing at fairs...

Passionate about art, Tieu Minh Phung started with very small roles such as non-speaking extras and military roles, gradually making an impression in the form of humorous and individualistic characters.

The artist is grateful for the hardships he has gone through. It was the difficult days that helped him live independently, be strong in life and remind himself to try harder in his career.

“I never thought I would quit my job. When art was not enough to support me, I took on other jobs to continue pursuing my career. The most important thing is to overcome myself,” he told VietNamNet.

Up to now, Tieu Minh Phung has been in the art industry for 9 years. The male artist admitted that only last year, he was really stable financially and had enough show frequency to be able to work long-term.

Tieu Minh Phung was born into a poor family, his mother left and his father worked far away. He became independent from a young age, taking care of his younger brother alone.

Currently, Tieu Minh Phung only hopes to have enough money to pay for rent each month. Although he is not rich yet, he is happy because his job is gradually stable, he can save up and buy a few things he likes.

Noisy and active on stage, but in real life the artist is an introvert. Off stage, he goes home and likes to be alone.

Tieu Minh Phung has just released the MV "Traces of Footprints on Fire" - a community project praising the Vietnam People's Public Security and the soldiers who died for their homeland. Nearly 30 artists from the North, South and male artists sang together in this MV.

Tieu Minh Phung wishes to become a versatile artist, combining tradition and modernity to renew Cai Luong and bring traditional art closer to young audiences.

Previously, he performed in the concert Proud to be Vietnamese at My Dinh Stadium, with a capacity of more than 30 thousand spectators.

The moment he stood on stage to perform, he was proud and moved to be immersed in the heroic atmosphere of the country's important anniversary days.

The male artist is currently nurturing a new project and has poured all his savings, plus debt, into making the product.

“I love my homeland. Since I was little, I was nurtured by folk songs and folk melodies… I grew up with the cultural values ​​of my homeland, so that is the creative material and cultural color to pursue,” he confided.
