The Asia Artist Festival (AAF) 2025 is a large-scale art event held in Singapore. This year, the competition attracted more than 2,600 contestants from 14 countries and territories to compete in many fields such as vocal music, dance, musical instruments, and general performance. Minh Ngoc, a student at the Vietnam National Academy of Music, made a special mark at this competition. On the AAF 2025 stage, many contestants chose to sing opera in English, French, Italian, etc., while Minh Ngoc, with the guidance of Meritorious Artist Tan Nhan, confidently dressed in a leotard and sang in Vietnamese the song "Gui ve Quan ho", a song by musician Duc Mieng. The performance was full of Kinh Bac colors, with Minh Ngoc's youthful and fresh performance, conveying emotions to the audience. The AAF 2025 Gold Cup she received was truly deserved.
Minh Ngoc is not a strange face, but was the Champion of the program "Tuyet Dinh Song Ca Nhi" in 2018. Remember that time, the 14-year-old girl confidently appeared on stage with the very emotional Quan Ho song "Buon Bac Buon Dau". The judges and the audience were surprised by this debut. With the companionship and support of singer Cam Ly, actor Huynh Lap and music director - musician Minh Vy, Minh Ngoc passed the rounds to win the Champion title of that year's competition. After 7 years, Minh Ngoc raised the AAF 2025 Gold Cup, surprising many people.
But for those who love Minh Ngoc's voice, that achievement is not too surprising because she is still persistent in her journey to preserve the folk heritage of Quan Ho in her homeland. Fans still call her "Ngoc Nu Singing Quan Ho". Minh Ngoc owns social media accounts that attract a lot of followers, she posts her artistic products. In early July, Minh Ngoc released the extended play (EP) "Quan Ho Mot Nha" including 3 songs "Yeu Mot Bac Ninh", "Lang Quan Ho Que Toi" and "Que Toi". She shared: "This is not just music, but Minh Ngoc's journey back to her roots, to her beloved homeland - where the love-giving songs still resonate between communal houses, pagodas, and people's hearts". In the MV "Yeu Mot Bac Ninh", Minh Ngoc chose to film at familiar places and villages, recording the unique characteristics of the Kinh Bac region. In the context of Bac Giang and Bac Ninh merging into a new Bac Ninh, through her music products, Minh Ngoc sends a message: “Whether on the other side or this side of the Cau River, singing is still the bridge connecting hearts. Quan Ho - is the home of all of us”.
Previously, Minh Ngoc’s artistic products such as “Ngoc Nu”, “Thuyen Hat”… which are a collection of famous Quan Ho folk songs, traditional songs that touch people’s hearts, have attracted millions of views. In the introduction of the MV “On Cha On Me” (according to the melody “Muoi Nho”, Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Songs), Minh Ngoc emotionally expressed: “Minh Ngoc is grateful for being able to do this job with all her heart. Grateful to her parents for giving her roots. Grateful to Quan Ho folk songs for giving her a path on the artistic path”.
