On December 28, People reported that Olivia Hussey, star of Romeo and Juliet, passed away at the age of 73. According to an announcement posted on Olivia Hussey's official website, the actress passed away on December 27.
“We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Olivia Hussey Eisley. She passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones, on December 27. Olivia was an extraordinary person. Her warmth, wisdom and sincerity touched the lives of all who knew her.
Born on April 17, 1951 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Olivia lived a life filled with passion, love, dedication to art, spirituality and kindness to animals,” Olivia Hussey family announcement.
"Olivia leaves behind a loving family, her children, Alex, Max and India, her husband of 35 years, David Glen Eisley and grandson, Greyson and a legacy of love that will forever be cherished in our hearts.

Olivia Hussey rose to fame as a teenager in the 1968 film Romeo and Juliet. Hussey was born in Buenos Aires in 1951 and moved to London as a child. She began acting at the age of 13 and had small roles in several films before starring in Franco Zeffirelli's Romeo and Juliet . When the film was released in 1968, it became a box office phenomenon.
After Romeo and Juliet, Hussey continued to star in many productions such as Jesus of Nazareth, Black Christmas, Boy Meets World, Psycho IV: The Beginning... Social Suicide Released in 2015, it was Olivia Hussey's final film. She announced her retirement from acting in 2016.
