Newton High School Students Win 2025 IOAA Silver Medal
The education sector of Hanoi has just received great news from the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA 2025) held in India on August 21, 2025, when all 5/5 Vietnamese contestants won medals (1 Gold, 3 Silver, 1 Bronze).
In that common pride, Hoang Pham Minh Khanh, a 12G0 student at Newton Secondary and High School (a member of EQuest Education Group) has excellently brought home the Silver Medal. Making Newton the only private school with students participating and achieving results in this prestigious exam, contributing to the national gold medal list.

In 2023, Minh Khanh made his teachers, friends and family burst into happiness with the Silver Medal at the International Junior Science Olympiad (IJSO) in Thailand - the highest achievement of the entire delegation (the remaining 5 students from a specialized school in Hanoi all won Bronze Medals).
By winning the Silver Medal at the 2025 International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA), Minh Khanh continues to write a miracle by winning two medals in two completely different fields - General Science and Astronomy.
Minh Khanh's achievements are not only an honor for Minh Khanh personally and his family, but also a convincing testament to Newton's high-quality education, dedicated companionship and correct orientation in the journey of discovering, nurturing and nurturing young talents.
The school not only provides students with a solid foundation of knowledge, but also builds an inspiring learning environment where each student is encouraged to explore their potential, develop comprehensively and reach out to the world .

Notably, at both international Olympic competitions, Minh Khanh was the first and only private school student in Hanoi to be selected for the team. The fact that a Newton student continuously appeared and shone in the international arena has become a proud phenomenon, not only bringing glory to himself and his family, but also affirming the increasingly strong position of Newton Secondary and High School, a private school that has just completed 16 years of construction and development.
IOAA is a fierce competition with nearly 300 contestants from more than 50 countries, going through theoretical competitions, data processing and astronomical observations day and night. Minh Khanh's medal is a clear demonstration of the intelligence, bravery and solid scientific foundation that Newton brings to students.
With brilliant results at IOAA 2025, Minh Khanh has written another golden page for Newton - a high-quality private school, nurturing the intelligence and international integration aspirations of generations of Vietnamese students.
