At around 7am on July 17, a fire broke out at a paint manufacturing company located in Khanh Loi Quarter, Tan Khanh Ward, Ho Chi Minh City. At that time, there were not many workers in the company. There were many raw materials, chemicals and finished paint products inside the company, so the fire developed quickly, spread widely, creating a column of suffocating black smoke dozens of meters high.

Many households living near the company discovered the fire and called on their relatives to move their belongings outside to prevent the fire from spreading. The fire made many explosions. Many people thought that the chemical and paint solvent containers exploded on fire. People pulled water hoses and used mini fire extinguishers to approach the fire, but the fire was so big that the flames spread and heated up the entire surrounding area, so people could not approach.

Upon receiving the news, the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team KV32 mobilized vehicles and officers to the scene to isolate the fire, preventing it from spreading to houses. The fire was too large, so the Fire Fighting and Rescue Team KV32 called the center for support. A total of 14 fire trucks and 84 officers were mobilized to put out the fire.
The flammable substances were chemicals, solvents, finished paints, etc., so the working groups had to use special substances to put out the fire. After more than 1 hour, the fire was completely controlled. At the scene, more than 1,000 square meters of the factory along with many machinery, equipment, raw materials, and finished paints were burned and severely damaged.
The scene was sealed off to investigate the cause of the fire and assess the damage.
