Accordingly, at 2:00 a.m. on July 23, after receiving a fire report from local residents, the A Doi Commune Police, Quang Tri Province and the Border Guard forces coordinated with local authorities and local residents to arrive at the scene of the fire at the house of Mr. Ho Van K Roi (born in 1999), residing in Trum Village, A Doi Commune, Quang Tri Province to respond and extinguish the fire.

The entire force present at the scene tried to use fire fighting tools combined with transporting water from the stream to control the fire and move some properties. However, due to strong southwest winds, Ho Van K Roi's stilt house was mainly made of wood, so the fire broke out very quickly and spread to the house of Ho Van Thuong (born 2000), Ho Van K Roi's younger brother.
At the time of the fire, Ms. Ho Thi Thum (born in 1998), wife of Mr. Ho Van K Roi, and her three children were sleeping in the house. After discovering the fire in the corner of the house, Ms. Thum took measures to prevent it but could not put it out. The mother and her four children promptly ran outside and called for help.

According to local authorities, the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit. To promptly encourage and share the difficulties of the families who were unfortunately affected by the fire, the Border Guard force in the area supported the family with 50kg of rice and 1 box of instant noodles to maintain meals. Local authorities are coordinating with related units to help the family clean up and find a way to rebuild the house as soon as possible.
