Earlier, as part of the Ancestor Commemoration Ceremony, the festival included competitions in traditional folk games such as: three-leaf boat racing, tug-of-war, sack racing, balloon popping, etc. Participants included officials, civil servants, and employees from the district and residents of Tan Phu commune. These folk games, imbued with the festive spirit and unique characteristics of the people of the Mekong Delta, attracted a large number of people to participate, watch, and cheer. All of this created a vibrant and lively atmosphere for the National Ancestor Commemoration Day.
