On September 12th, convoys of vehicles laden with essential supplies, clothing, medicine, and other necessities continued their journey towards the provinces severely affected by floods in northern Vietnam.

According to reports, a large number of people came to the donation points on Nguyen Tri Phuong, Nguyen Huu Tho, Phan Thao streets, etc. ( Da Nang City) to donate goods and food to support flood victims.

Many local residents joined hands with volunteer groups to sort, pack, and load goods onto trucks.

Ms. Doan Thi My Hanh (residing in Thanh Khe district), along with 20 friends, joined forces to launch a fundraising campaign and set up a donation collection point on Nguyen Tri Phuong street.

Ms. Hanh said that the team is working hard to call for support and speed up the packing and sorting of goods so that they can provide assistance to flood-affected people as soon as possible.

"It's heartbreaking to constantly receive news about the heavy losses of life and property suffered by people in the North. We want to contribute our efforts, hoping that the people in the flood-affected areas will soon overcome their difficulties," Ms. Hanh shared.

Like many other residents, Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Hien (35 years old, residing in Lien Chieu district) was deeply saddened when watching the news about the horrific flash floods in recent days.

Ms. Hien said she had just taken blankets, sheets, and clothes to be washed, ironed, and dried, then carefully packed to send to people in the flood-affected areas.

"Seeing the children cold and lacking necessities in the floods, I feel incredibly sorry for them. I hope the floods will soon pass so that people can return to their normal lives," said Ms. Hien.

After reading about the donation drive for flood victims in northern provinces on social media, Ms. Thuy Tien (from Quang Tri province) went to the donation center on Nguyen Huu Tho street to donate 20 boxes of instant noodles and 100 life jackets.

At another donation collection point on Phu Thanh 7 Street (Lien Chieu District), the past few days have also seen enthusiastic support from the people of Da Nang.

This volunteer group is expected to deliver essential supplies to people in the North on September 14th.
