On September 12, convoys of trucks loaded with necessities, clothes, medicine, etc. continued on their way to the provinces heavily affected by floods in the North.

According to records, many people came to the reception points on Nguyen Tri Phuong, Nguyen Huu Tho, Phan Thao streets... ( Da Nang City) to donate goods and food to support people in flood-affected areas.

Many people joined hands with volunteer groups to sort, pack, and transport goods onto trucks.

Ms. Doan Thi My Hanh (living in Thanh Khe district), along with 20 friends, joined forces to launch a donation campaign and opened a receiving point on Nguyen Tri Phuong street.

Ms. Hanh said the group is trying to call for support, speed up packaging and classifying goods to be able to support people in flooded areas as soon as possible.

“It is heartbreaking to continuously receive information that people in the North are suffering heavy losses in terms of lives and property. We want to contribute our part, hoping that people in the flooded areas will soon overcome their difficulties,” Ms. Hanh shared.

Like many other people, Ms. Le Thi Ngoc Hien (35 years old, living in Lien Chieu district) was also extremely saddened when watching the news about the terrible flash floods in recent days.

Ms. Hien said she had just brought blankets, curtains, and clothes to be washed, dried, and carefully packaged to send to people in flood-affected areas.

“Seeing the children cold and deprived in the flood, I feel so sad. I hope the flood will pass soon so that people can return to normal life,” said Ms. Hien.

After reading information about donations and support for flood victims in the Northern provinces on social networks, Ms. Thuy Tien (from Quang Tri province) went to the receiving location on Nguyen Huu Tho street to donate 20 boxes of instant noodles and 100 life jackets.

At another donation point on Phu Thanh 7 Street (Lien Chieu District), in recent days, we have also received enthusiastic support from Da Nang people.

This volunteer group is expected to transport necessities to people in the North on September 14.
