According to information provided by Dr. Nguyen Thang Nhat Tue - Satellite Emergency Station No. 32 of the 115 Emergency Center in Ho Chi Minh City, at approximately 8 PM on May 28th, a 59-year-old male patient drove himself to the clinic. Upon arrival, the man suddenly collapsed in front of the entrance in a critical condition.
The medical team quickly administered emergency care and performed an on-site electrocardiogram (ECG). The results showed that he had suffered a large anterior fulminant myocardial infarction – a severe form of the disease with a very high risk of sudden death if not treated promptly.

Immediately, the patient was given emergency medications according to the acute myocardial infarction treatment protocol, such as coronary vasodilators, antiplatelet agents, anticoagulants, and statins. Simultaneously, the clinic contacted the 115 Emergency Center to transfer the patient to a facility capable of providing emergency cardiovascular intervention.
According to Doctor Tuệ, thanks to the correct and adequate treatment from the very first minutes, the patient has overcome the most dangerous stage.
After one day, the patient was conscious and in more stable condition. Notably, the patient lives alone, has no relatives nearby, and is facing financial difficulties.
During the course of treatment, the hospital provided some intervention supplies free of charge after learning about the patient's special circumstances.
Dr. Tuệ advises that acute myocardial infarction is a medical emergency. When symptoms such as persistent chest pain, shortness of breath, cold sweats, dizziness, or fainting appear, the patient needs to be taken to the nearest medical facility immediately. Detection and treatment within the "golden hour" are crucial for survival and limiting complications.
