Present at the Immigration Department of Dak Lak Provincial Police on July 8, dozens of officers and soldiers were busy instructing 13 foreign experts working at Ngon Coffee Company Limited. And in just one morning, all 13 experts were granted level 2 electronic identification accounts. This is an important step to help foreigners easily carry out online administrative procedures, bank transactions, register to rent houses and access public services quickly, safely, reduce paperwork, and save time.

Mr. Kommineni Nageswara Rao (an Indian expert working at Ngon Coffee Company Limited) happily said that coming to Vietnam to live and work made him quite bewildered, especially with some personal paperwork procedures. “However, thanks to the enthusiastic guidance and help of the police force, I have been granted a level 2 electronic identification. From now on, I can easily conduct banking transactions, register to rent a house, use public services... I thank the police officers of the Immigration Department, Dak Lak Provincial Police for their enthusiastic help”, Mr. Kommineni Nageswara Rao shared.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen My Thanh, Deputy Head of the Immigration Management Department of Dak Lak Provincial Police, said that identifying this as an important task in the national digital transformation roadmap, the Immigration Management Department of the Provincial Police has proactively reviewed data, prepared adequate machinery and technical equipment, and arranged staff to directly receive and guide foreigners day and night in a dedicated manner, in accordance with regulations and legal procedures.

“This is an inevitable step, in line with the trend of modern management and national digital transformation. With the motto of “doing all the work, not all the hours”, officers and soldiers always wholeheartedly support each specific case. In the first days of implementation, dozens of cases were successfully granted level 2 electronic identification accounts, marking a favorable start for the implementation process,” said Lieutenant Colonel Thanh.

Also according to Lieutenant Colonel Thanh, according to the peak plan, the Provincial Police will issue level 2 electronic identification for foreigners from July 1 to August 19, 2025 at 2 locations: No. 01 Ly Thai To Street, Buon Ma Thuot Ward and No. 248 Tran Hung Dao Street, Tuy Hoa Ward, Dak Lak Province.
“This is one of the important tasks to realize the goal of building a digital government and digital citizens, contributing to improving the effectiveness of state management, building a modern administration, serving the people, including the foreign community living, studying and working in the locality,” added Senior Colonel Thanh.
