Each product and commodity has traceability data ensuring 10 basic information.
The Ministry of Science and Technology is seeking public opinions on the draft Circular regulating the management of traceability of products and goods.
The draft clearly states regulations on the system for tracing the origin of products and goods, ensuring connection and data sharing.
Specifically, the product and goods traceability system ensures the principle: One step before - one step after to ensure the ability to monitor and identify the previous production and business establishment/production stage and the next production and business establishment/production stage in the production and business process for a product or goods.
The product and goods traceability system of organizations and individuals ensures the complete traceability process according to the regulations in national standards, national technical regulations, international standards, and regional standards corresponding to the type of product and goods and is declared to comply with the standards.
The basis for declaring conformity is based on the self-assessment results of the organization or individual or the certification results of the designated certification organization according to the law. In case of connecting to the National Product and Goods Traceability Information Portal, the traceability data must meet the regulations.
Each product and commodity has traceability data ensuring 10 basic information.
Through the Product and Goods Traceability System, each product and good has traceability data ensuring the following basic information:
1- Product name, goods;
2- Product and goods images;
3- Name of production and business unit;
4- Address of production and business unit;
5- Stages in production and business (at least including item traceability code, location traceability code and event time of each stage);
6- Production and business time (time when traceability events take place);
7- Product and goods traceability code;
8- Brand, trademark, symbol code, product serial number (if any);
9- Expiry date of products and goods (if any);
10- National standards, national technical regulations, international standards, regional standards, and basic standards are applied.
The product and goods traceability system to connect with the National Product and Goods Traceability Portal must include the above basic information requirements.
Searching on the National Product and Goods Origin Traceability Portal ensures at least 7 pieces of information.
Data on product and goods origin tracing to serve consumers' search on the National Product and Goods Origin Tracing Portal must ensure at least the following information:
1- Product name, goods;
2- Product and goods images;
3- Brand, trademark, code, product serial number (if any);
4- Name of production and business unit;
5- Address of production and business unit;
6- Production and business time (time when the traceability event takes place);
7- Expiry date of products and goods (if any).
Products in each event after each stage are assigned a traceability code to trace their origin. The traceability code is encoded in the data carrier.
