Goalkeeper Nguyen Manh became the second person to miss the Vietnam team's match against Hong Kong (China) and Syria.
Since joining the team, Nguyen Manh has been examined by the team's doctors and given recovery exercises and therapy. However, due to a persistent injury that has become chronic, the goalkeeper from Nghe An needs to rest and continue to actively receive treatment to ensure his performance.
During the short training session in March, Nguyen Manh was also called up to the Vietnam national team, but had to practice according to a separate regimen under the guidance of doctors. After that, taking advantage of the V-League break, the goalkeeper from Nghe An went to Ho Chi Minh City for treatment and recovery at a professional injury rehabilitation center.
When the ball rolled again, Nguyen Manh became an important stopper in the Nam Dinh Club's lineup. However, due to not being completely treated, although still playing, Nguyen Manh had to face prolonged pain.
After the doctors reported on Nguyen Manh's condition, coach Philippe Troussier decided to send the goalkeeper from Nghe Anh back to the club to focus on treatment.
Nguyen Manh is the second case after Hong Duy to have to leave the team due to injury. The current number of players on the team is 30, including 3 goalkeepers and not including 2 players playing abroad: Cong Phuong (returned home on June 10) and Van Toan (returned home on June 12).
In addition to Nguyen Manh's case, striker Tien Linh is also slightly injured so he cannot practice with the Vietnamese team.
