The event also included a Chinese delegation led by Vice Premier Liu Guozhong and members of the Russian military song and dance troupe. This time, Russia did not send its own delegation.
The parade comes amid reports that Kim Jong-un could travel to Vladivostok to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin next week to discuss a potential arms deal.

The North Korean leader also welcomed the delegation from Beijing and held talks in a friendly atmosphere.
The two sides agreed to develop the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries, and further strengthen coordination and cooperation in many fields.
According to Yonhap news agency, Russian and Chinese leaders sent congratulatory messages to Mr. Kim Jong-un on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of North Korea's founding.
Mr. Vladimir Putin said that North Korea and Russia will expand strategic bilateral cooperation in all areas to contribute to ensuring safety and stability on the Korean Peninsula and in Northeast Asia.

Meanwhile, Chinese President Xi Jinping reaffirmed his commitment to developing the traditional friendly relations between Pyongyang and Beijing, regardless of international and regional political circumstances.
The parade came after North Korea launched a new tactical nuclear attack submarine capable of underwater nuclear strikes and leader Kim Jong-un pledged to further strengthen the country's nuclear deterrent.
