According to the Department of Tourism, in the first 6 months of 2025, the total number of tourists to Hanoi is estimated at 15.56 million, up 11.8% over the same period in 2024. Of which, international visitors reached 3.66 million, up 22%. Total revenue from tourists is estimated at 62,366 billion VND, up 14.7%.
To create attraction, Hanoi will launch 20 new night tourism products. The highlight is the program "Tran Vu Bell" at Quan Thanh Temple. It is expected that in August, two routes "Nam Thang Long Heritage Road" and "Dao Hoc Road" will be launched, taking tourists through a series of relics and ancient villages. In addition, creative spaces such as "Truc Bach Subsidy Street - Tram No. 6 - Leng keng di huong" or experiencing the traditional medicine village of the Dao people in Ba Vi will also be deployed.
To support these products, the tourism industry will maximize its transportation advantages. The tourist routes on the Red River and Duong River are planned to connect Hanoi with Hung Yen and Nam Dinh. Regarding railways, high-quality night trains will be put into operation, including the Sjourney, Hoa Phuong Do and “Nam Cua O” trains. Regarding aviation, the Hanoi Department of Tourism has signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Vietnam Airlines for the period 2025–2030 to coordinate promotion and open new international routes.
Mr. Tran Trung Hieu said that tourism space is no longer limited to the inner city but is expanding to suburban districts such as Ba Vi, My Duc, and Soc Son.
