Specifically, on June 12, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department of Ho Chi Minh City Police inspected a house on Lac Long Quan Street (now Tan Hoa Ward, Ho Chi Minh City) and caught Nguyen Quoc Trung (born in 1991) in the act of storing and trading marijuana and cocaine.
Trung confessed to buying and selling via social networks, using many intermediary bank accounts. Through investigation, the police discovered the following subjects involved: Phung Vinh Lam (delivery), Nguyen Duc Trung (buying and reselling), Bui Cong Thinh (delivering goods to "Uncle Teu"), and Cao Thanh Xuan Thao (using marijuana).
Expanding the investigation into the ring, the Drug Crime Investigation Police Department continued to discover that Tran Phu Long (born in 1989) and Nguyen Cong Tri (born in 1978, occupation: fashion designer - commonly known as Designer Nguyen Cong Tri) were related and together illegally used drugs on the evening of June 23 at their home in Tan Hung ward.

When checking Tri and Long’s residence, the police discovered many objects such as ceramic plates, rolled up bills, and plastic cards. At the police station, the subjects confessed that these were tools for drug use. Currently, the Ho Chi Minh City Police are completing procedures and documents to handle them according to the law.
