The De Men Children's Award is an annual award, awarded to authors and works for children, which has been going on for 5 years, with the goal of spreading good humanistic values throughout society, especially for teenagers and children... After 5 years of organization, the De Men Children's Award has affirmed its position as a prestigious cultural and artistic award, honoring excellent works created by or for children. This is an award that is periodically presented on the occasion of International Children's Day (June 1), becoming a beautiful milestone in the cultural and artistic life for Vietnamese children.
The Organizing Committee said that entering the 6th season in 2025, the Organizing Committee decided to invite musician Nguyen Van Chung - a dedicated artist with a profound influence on the community - to be the Inspirational Ambassador of the De Men Children's Award.
This is not only a recognition of his lasting contributions to children's music , but also a strategic move to expand the award's reach to the general public, especially young people and parents.
Nguyen Van Chung is one of the prominent musicians in the field of youth music with many famous hits. Previously, he was a writer specializing in writing songs about love and youth. Later, as he shared, when he had a family and entered a new phase, he spent more time composing songs about mothers, children, and love for his homeland...
2023, song “Continue the story of peace ” by musician Nguyen Van Chung, commissioned by singer Nguyen Duyen Quynh, has been tirelessly spread by him and singer Duyen Quynh on many social media platforms. The song became prominent on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, with more than 3 billion views on the platforms.
Children's songs are one of the most prominent compositions of musician Nguyen Van Chung. Since 2009, Nguyen Van Chung has started composing songs for children. Up to now, he has written more than 300 children's songs, many of which have become familiar melodies to children such as: "Small family, great happiness", "Flying into fairy tales", "Mong mo tuoi tho", "Mom oi sao?"... In particular, the song "Mother's diary" has crossed genre boundaries to become a cultural phenomenon, touching the hearts of millions of people and being translated into many languages.
In 2020, Nguyen Van Chung was one of the first artists to be honored by the De Men Children's Award. Cricket Aspiration Award, for the most outstanding children's songs he composed during that period.
Not only composing, Nguyen Van Chung also actively trains young talents through music classes, community music playgrounds and charity projects for children in difficult circumstances. The decision of the Organizing Committee of the De Men Children's Award to invite Nguyen Van Chung to be the Inspirational Ambassador in 2025 is of profound significance.
At the Ceremony to announce the role of Ambassador of the De Men Award, musician Nguyen Van Chung emotionally said: “I believe that in every child is a magical world of childhood. If we sow the seeds of kindness, love and creativity, they will blossom into trees of life full of fragrant flowers and sweet fruits. I am honored to accompany the De Men Children's Award 2025 - a place to inspire and spread the best things to Vietnamese children”.
He also shared his desire to spread the spirit of creativity for children: “If you still keep a world of childhood in you, if you love children, if you desire to give the best things to your children, to the children of your friends, and to all Vietnamese children across the country…, please join me in creating more literary and artistic works for children, so that the best spiritual seeds can sprout in the souls of children today and tomorrow.”
