Recently, on the Threads platform, a "report" appeared, posted by a representative of Make Room Café - a coffee shop in Ho Chi Minh City. Accordingly, the shop said that the shop welcomed a group of 8 people to the shop to drink water and play a game of werewolf.
During the game, this group repeatedly shouted and laughed loudly, making the atmosphere too noisy. In just 30 minutes, 4 other customers working and chatting at the bar complained to the staff about the noisy situation. Therefore, the bar was forced to remind the group to keep the volume at a moderate level.

According to the restaurant, all exchanges were conducted gently and politely. However, not long after, a series of 1-star reviews appeared on Google Maps, with content criticizing the quality of service and drinks at the restaurant.
Faced with this wave, Make Room Café has affirmed that the shop is not an absolutely quiet space, but there are still certain limits to ensure general comfort.
"As everyone knows, Make Room Café is not a quiet cafe. People come to work and chat, so the space will always be bustling and comfortable, but comfortable to a certain extent.
For example, if we go to a coffee shop where children are playing and screaming loudly, we will be very upset and complain to the shop, or if there is a group of people playing cards and constantly arguing, we will definitely never want to come back," the post stated.
The restaurant representative also expressed concern that negative emotional reviews not only affect the restaurant's image but also cause direct damage to the staff.
The story, after going viral, attracted thousands of interactions and comments with many opinions. One side said that the restaurant should limit customers from playing noisy games to avoid similar situations.

Customers unanimously rated the restaurant 1 star (Photo: Screenshot).
The other side agreed with the restaurant's lenient handling and considered the "star retaliation" behavior unfair. Some customers even proactively reported unreasonable negative reviews about the restaurant.
Responding to Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Minh Tai - owner of Make Room Café - confirmed that the above incident happened on the evening of July 14 and said that this was the first time his shop had encountered such a negative reaction from customers.
"That day, the group of guests playing Werewolf shouted a few times. Normally, I'm not too strict, but when someone complained that they couldn't work or talk, I had to intervene. I just reminded them gently, not at all annoyed or harsh," said Mr. Tai.
Despite receiving a series of 1-star reviews, the restaurant owner still feels warm when receiving a lot of support from the online community, including people who have been to the restaurant and shared positive experiences and rated the restaurant 5 stars to "recover points".
"I feel happy because there are people who understand and sympathize. Some people even proactively give positive reviews for the restaurant. That makes us feel somewhat comforted," Mr. Tai shared.

According to the reporter's research, Make Room Café is located in Saigon Ward (formerly Nguyen Thai Binh Ward), Ho Chi Minh City, operating from 8am to 10pm every day, attracting many customers to work, study or meet friends. Some of the favorite drinks at the shop are matcha banana milk and salted cream silver coffee.
The space is designed to be comfortable and friendly, not emphasizing absolute quiet but also not encouraging extreme behavior.
