This morning, October 11, the monitoring delegation of the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial People's Council had a working session with the People's Committee of Gio Son Commune, Gio Linh District on the management, use and rearrangement of public assets, which are houses and land under the management of the People's Committee at the commune level in the period of 2018 - 2024.
Gio Son Commune People's Committee reported that the locality was assigned to manage and use 14 houses and land. Of these, 3 are offices and public works; 1 medical facility is managed by the locality in terms of land while the assets on the land belong to Gio Linh District Medical Center and 10 are community learning centers in the villages.
13/14 of these houses and lands have been granted land use right certificates; 1 facility, the Nam Dong Village Community Learning Center, has not been granted land use right certificates. Of the 14 facilities mentioned above, the locality is currently using 7 facilities, the rest are surplus, abandoned or used for the wrong purpose but there is no plan for arrangement.
The leader of Gio Son Commune People's Committee said that after the merger of Gio Hoa and Gio Son communes, there were a number of surplus houses and lands under the management of the Commune People's Committee, so they were left empty, and some were damaged and degraded.
Therefore, the locality proposed that the Provincial People's Council consider and evaluate the proposal to liquidate assets on land, transfer land use rights for 6 facilities and request to transfer 1 facility to Gio Linh District Medical Center for management and use.
Speaking at the meeting, Head of the Provincial People's Council's Legal Committee Nguyen Van Khoi requested the People's Committee of Gio Son commune to review all documents related to housing and land facilities managed by the locality.
Regarding the proposals, the monitoring team acknowledged and requested the People's Committee of Gio Son commune to supplement and clarify plans for rearranging and relocating surplus housing and land in the period of 2018 - 2024, and report soon so that the monitoring team has a basis to propose to the Provincial People's Council for consideration.
