Many highlights at the 2026 Lotus Village Festival

The Lotus Village Festival is a significant political and cultural event, expressing the gratitude and reverence of the people towards President Ho Chi Minh.

Since 1981, a mass art and culture movement featuring songs about President Ho Chi Minh, the Fatherland, and the Party has emerged, known as the Lang Sen Singing Festival.

By 2002, the Lang Sen Singing Festival was elevated by Nghe An province to the Lang Sen Festival, with a provincial scale (held annually) and a national scale (held every 5 years) on the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday.

From its early years, the Lotus Village Festival has attracted people from all walks of life in the province and across the country, overseas Vietnamese, and international tourists to participate.

The Lang Sen Village Festival is a significant political and cultural event, expressing the gratitude and reverence of the people towards President Ho Chi Minh, while also promoting and educating about Ho Chi Minh's ideology; continuing the "Learning and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh"; introducing and promoting the culture of Lang Sen Village and Nghe An province to friends and tourists both domestically and internationally; and gradually promoting sustainable tourism development associated with cultural, historical, and spiritual experiences in President Ho Chi Minh's homeland.

Ms. Quách Thị Cường, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province, spoke at the press conference.

According to Ms. Quach Thi Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An province, nine highlight activities will take place from May 18th to May 30th within the framework of the Festival. These include notable events such as: a flower and incense offering ceremony at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House in the Kim Lien Historical Site and Chung Son Temple; a procession of President Ho Chi Minh's portrait; the opening ceremony of the 2026 Lang Sen Festival, celebrating the 136th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026) and the announcement of the Decision designating the Kim Lien Historical Site as a National Tourist Area; and a thematic exhibition "Commemorating 115 years since President Ho Chi Minh left to find a way to save the country".

In addition, there will be a "Countryside Market" space combined with experiential tourism activities at Sen Village; an exhibition "80 Years Since President Ho Chi Minh's Call for National Resistance"; a thematic exhibition: "The System of Museums and Memorial Sites of President Ho Chi Minh Nationwide" and a celebration of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Kim Lien Historical Site; and the inauguration of the 9-Tier Waterfall Project in the Cultural Tourism Area in Kim Lien commune...
