
The activities in May are organized to continue introducing the culture and traditional customs of the 54 ethnic groups in Vietnam, contributing to enhancing exchanges between ethnic groups, regions, and attracting tourists to the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism. The program also contributes to promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's moral example and style in each specific and practical work and activity of the ethnic groups and spreading it to tourists at the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.
The activities will have the participation of more than 100 people from 16 ethnic groups who are active every day (Nung, Tay, Mong, Dao, Muong, Lao, Thai, Kho Mu, Ta Oi, Ba Na, Xo Dang, Gia Rai, Co Tu, Raglai, E De, Khmer) along with the participation of 11 localities (Thai Nguyen, Hanoi , Ha Giang, Son La, Hoa Binh, Hue, Gia Lai, Kon Tum, Dak Lak, Ninh Thuan, Soc Trang). At the same time, about 25 more Co Tu and Ta Oi people from A Luoi district and Hue city will be mobilized on May 17 and 18.
With the theme "Uncle Ho with the Vietnamese ethnic community", the Vietnam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism will organize many attractive activities such as: Reenacting the forest god worshiping ceremony of the ethnic groups in A Luoi district on May 18. This is a unique community folk ritual that demonstrates the harmony between humans and nature, preserved by the people.
In particular, the folk song and dance program "Uncle Ho, a boundless love" (May 17 and 18) includes cultural and artistic exchange activities with folk song and dance performances, expressing the affection of the ethnic communities of A Luoi district for Uncle Ho. At the program, ethnic people also introduced the beauty of the son of the Ho family through the national intangible cultural heritage - the art of weaving Zeng (brocade); introducing culture and tourism associated with the beauty of the Co Tu and Ta Oi ethnic groups.
In addition, in May, the Village will also host a folk song and dance program with the theme "Song for Uncle Ho". The program includes musical instrument performances and dances praising Uncle Ho. In addition, the Village will also host a program called "Uncle Ho with the Central Highlands, the Central Highlands with Uncle Ho", including cultural and artistic exchanges, expressing the affection of the Central Highlands ethnic communities for Uncle Ho... At the Khmer pagoda complex, activities for the Buddha's Birthday will take place.
In addition, coming to the Vietnam Ethnic Culture and Tourism Village on this occasion, visitors can also participate in experiencing traditional cultural activities and folk games such as: playing mandarin squares, checkers, bamboo puppetry, walking on stilts, dancing on bamboo poles, swinging, and seesaw; learning about culinary culture and enjoying special dishes of Vietnamese ethnic groups.
