Many meaningful activities are being carried out to help victims of Agent Orange.

On May 15th, in Hanoi, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin held a press conference to inform the media about activities commemorating the 65th anniversary of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam (August 10, 1961 – August 10, 2026) and to launch a campaign to support Agent Orange victims.

At the program, Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu Chinh, Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin, stated that although the war ended more than 50 years ago, the consequences of Agent Orange during the war remain persistent and long-lasting. Currently, many people infected and affected by chemical toxins are still living in very difficult circumstances.

Therefore, the activities commemorating the 65th anniversary of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam are not only aimed at remembering and paying tribute, but also serve as a call to conscience and responsibility from the community both domestically and internationally to support and assist the victims of Agent Orange in Vietnam.

On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the Agent Orange disaster in Vietnam, the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin will organize many meaningful and practical activities, such as: the 5th Congress of Outstanding Exemplars "For Victims of Agent Orange" (2026 - 2031) to honor collectives, individuals, organizations, and philanthropists with outstanding achievements in caring for and assisting Agent Orange victims.

Specifically, with the theme "65 Years - From Disaster to a Journey of Joint Efforts to Alleviate the Pain of Agent Orange Victims," ​​the Association will collaborate with media organizations to launch an online running event, "Walking with Compassion," to raise funds to support Agent Orange victims; and organize the exhibition "Agent Orange - Conscience and Justice" in Da Nang next July, showcasing over 400 images, documents, and artifacts about the Agent Orange disaster, remediation efforts, the struggle for justice for victims, and activities supporting Agent Orange victims.

The program included a fundraising campaign to support victims of Agent Orange, through account 1961 of the Vietnam Agent Orange/Dioxin Victims Fund. At the launch ceremony, the total amount pledged by organizations and philanthropists exceeded 1 billion VND.
