As Vietnamese Teachers' Day approaches on November 20, the fresh flower and gift market in Ha Tinh City becomes vibrant and bustling with products of diverse designs and prices.

Flower shops are busier these days because fresh flowers are still the choice to show gratitude to teachers. According to shop owners, in addition to parents and students, on this occasion, agencies and units also have the need to order flowers as gifts for schools, so the number of customers has increased sharply compared to normal days.

Choosing to buy flowers for her former teacher, Ms. Le Thi Chau (Van Yen ward, Ha Tinh city) shared: “ Every year on November 20, I personally choose to buy a basket of flowers or a gift to give to my former teacher - a very special person to me. Not only did she bring me knowledge, she was also the one who guided my career.”

According to records, fresh flowers are sold in a variety of styles and colors. The common price for each basket or flower arrangement ranges from 200,000 to 700,000 VND. In addition, there are also baskets priced at millions of VND, made from high-quality imported flowers. Fresh flower business owners said that on this November 20th holiday, the price of many types of imported flowers has nearly doubled compared to normal days and increased by about 20% compared to October 20th.

Besides traditional fresh flowers, this year, beautiful baskets of succulents are the gift chosen by many people on the occasion of gratitude to teachers and those working inthe education sector.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Dong - owner of Gold Florist flower shop (Phan Dinh Phung street) said: "In addition to the familiar flower baskets of roses, sunflowers, peonies, hydrangeas... we also design lotus flower baskets to diversify the choices for customers. If fresh flowers have a short shelf life, lotus flowers can be displayed for 1-2 months, the price of each basket is commonly from 400,000 VND to more than 1 million VND".

The gift market for Vietnamese Teachers' Day this year also has the presence of many unique flower designs made from wax flowers, silk flowers... Not only aesthetic, flowers made from these materials are preserved longer. Flowers are arranged in bouquets or boxed in many styles, with prices ranging from tens of thousands of dong to hundreds of thousands of dong.

Ms. Ton Nu Hang - owner of a flower and gift shop on Nguyen Huy Tu Street said: "Wax flowers and latex flowers are beautifully bundled or boxed, the price is suitable for many people's budget, and they last longer than fresh flowers. Although they have just opened, during this November 20 holiday, the shop has welcomed quite a lot of customers, mainly students and young people."

Little student Ho Thi Kim Chi (Bac Ha Primary School) was delighted to choose a lovely wax flower to give to her teacher.

Products such as cosmetics, handbags, functional foods, fresh fruit baskets... are also meaningful gifts to send to teachers on this year's holiday. Ms. Tran Thi Hue - owner of Green Garden fruit shop (Xuan Dieu street) shared: " With beautiful designs, reasonable prices, and useful values, fruit baskets are gifts chosen by many people on special days. To meet the increasingly high tastes of customers, every holiday season, we research to bring different models to the market."

Gifts such as lipstick, perfume, shower gel, lotion... are packaged by shops in lovely gift boxes for customers to choose as gifts on the occasion of November 20.
