On June 12, Lam Dong General Hospital said it was actively treating Mr. LVM (residing in Duc Trong district), who was poisoned by eating poisonous mushrooms picked in the forest.
According to Mr. M, a few days ago, he went into the forest near his house to collect some mushrooms to prepare food. After the meal, this man experienced symptoms of nausea, dizziness, and frequent diarrhea, and was taken to the hospital by his family for emergency care. Currently, Mr. M's health is gradually recovering.

According to statistics from Lam Dong General Hospital, since the beginning of the year, the unit has received a total of 13 people showing signs of poisoning due to eating wild mushrooms picked in the forest. Among the above patients, there is one tourist , 12 are locals. Notably, of these 13 patients, there are 8 people from 2 families.
At the beginning of the rainy season every year, Lam Dong people often go into the forest to pick mushrooms to prepare food. Some people even organize tours in the form of picking mushrooms in pine forests. This is very dangerous if you accidentally pick mushrooms containing toxins to use as food.
According to Dr. Truong Binh Nguyen, Ph.D. in Mycology, Faculty of Biology, Dalat University, people who collect wild mushrooms need knowledge and experience to ensure safety. Do not arbitrarily taste unverified mushrooms, do not touch poisonous mushrooms, strange mushrooms to avoid affecting health.
